Market is in one month…

November 3 – 5, 2018.  Weren’t we there just a few weeks ago?

Fall Quilt Market 2018

There are quilts to be drawn for the catalog, pattern notes to be written – if nothing else, someone has to make the quilt!, and fabric still to arrive.  It’s crunch-time – and surprisingly, that’s a whole lot more fun than you’d think.

In the meantime, there was also a pre-Market catalog.  There are five big catalogs every year – one for each Market, two pre-Market catalogs and then the Christmas/Holiday catalog.

This is the August 2018 – or Fall Pre-Market catalog.

Moda Piece Issue No. 33.
(Print copies are only available to shops with Moda wholesale accounts.)

This is some of what’s in the catalog…

These are a few of the collections showing to shops now – available next January and February.

This is Stacy Iest Hsu’s Best Friends Forever.  (In shops in January 2019.)

This is Sweet Romance – it measures 62″ x 81″ – and it’s one of four quilts Stacy designed for Best Friends Forever.  There’s also a perfectly adorable doll panel.

Little Snippets by Bonnie & Camille.  (January 2019)

Retro-modern?  Modern feedsacks?  Let’s just go with funky and cool.

Cheeky – the quilt.

Hickory Road by Jo Morton.  (January 2019.)

The shades of brown… they’re almost edible.  They might need a cocoa rating – 70 percent.

Hickory Road.  This spectacular quilt was designed by Moda’s own Susan Stiff and the pattern will be a Moda Project Sheet.

Crystal Lake by Minick & Simpson. (February 2019.)

Quilts?  Of course Laurie has designed and made several spectacular quilts with this new collection.

This is Cobblestones – there is also Rolling Stars and Best Friends.

Sandy has designed a wonderful sampler quilt – February Favorites.

Sandy has several new patterns including:  Sweet Harmony, Strength in Unity, Beach Medley and Musical Squares.

She’s also adding several spectacular new round, circular design patterns – Intonation, In Harmony, Gnomonic Motion, Constructive Interference, To The Nines, and Into Accord.  This is Gnomonic Motion.

Strawberry Rhubarb.  Yum!  There is also Penny Lane.

Porcelain by 3 Sisters.  (January 2019.)

I’ve missed On Meadowlark Pond by Lynne Hagmeier for Kansas Troubles, Calypso Batiks by Kate Spain, Land That I Love by Deb Strain and Coco by Chez Moi.  So I guess I’ll be back soon…
